Núñez Get Promotion; Announces, Despite The Evidence, That Malloy’s Education Reform Policies Are Great for Latinos - Wait, What?: "If there is anyone who should appreciate the need to recruit and retain more minority teachers to serve as leaders and role-models in our urban schools it is Dr. Núñez.  Not only is there no evidence that a student’s GPA in their sophomore year of college determines their future success but we do know that there is significant evidence that minority students face particular challenges as they move into the collegiate environment.

If anything, requiring a higher grade point average will serve as a new barrier to minority students – the very opposite of what Eastern has been working toward for the past three decades.

Her defense of Malloy’s grade point average = professional success is actually beyond belief and an insult to every member of Eastern’s academic community."
