Thank you for all of your letters and calls to your legislators and the Governor’s office. Now we would like to ask you to engage in a different form of letter writing. Please post comments against the proposed bill and anti-teacher sentiments on the following website:
Here’s how to do it:
1. Scroll to the bottom of each dated post and add an intelligent, informed response to the comment section explaining why their ideas are flawed and how these proposals will negatively impact students, teachers, and administrators.
2. Some of the comment areas are difficult to find after the articles, so please click on the “continue reading” link at the end of each article and this will take you to the entire article where you will be able to comment on the posts.
3. To comment, enter a name of your choice (you can use a clever alias if you would like) and a personal e-mail address into the comment box.
4. Many individuals are already doing this and this will go directly to the people who had a hand in writing this bill and we want to flood them with comments so that when people who read this information who are unaware of the issues, they will see only negative responses. Remember that no unions or teachers were included in crafting this bill and this was obviously done intentionally, especially when one gets a first-hand look at the catastrophic changes headed our way.
5. There are many individual articles and we are encouraging you to post to as many as you see fit. Be on the look-out for other comment campaigns in the future.
The Connecticut Council for Education Reform is another “partner” in the big business push to dismantle public education. When researched you quickly realize that three of the groups (ConnCan, CBIA, and the CCER) are populated with many of the same individuals with the exact same agenda.
It is really one body pretending to work as three.
Thank you for your help and happy writing!
