The teacher alternative to Malloy’s tenure plan - Education Matters - Connecticut News: " The plan, promoted by the Connecticut Education Association, was not recommended by Gov. Dannel Malloy in his massive education reform plan. Instead, Malloy called for changes in the way that teachers are trained and receive tenure. His evaluation plan would take into account student performance. Currently, in Connecticut, teacher standards and certification are established and overseen by the State Board of Education and State Department of Education."
