From a teacher whose husband was at Hartford today:

This bill is passing. As we speak major changes are being made, only the 2 co chairs of the Ed. Comm. are privy to the changes. According to Grogins, tenure and charters are not a big concern for teachers in her district. Evaluation and certification are the big issues according to her. All Dems are going to vote for this bill. The Republicans may be the ones to limit it because of the rich suburban districts would be hurt.

We know this is not true, we've heard from Dems who do not support this bill.  Keep writing to educate your legislator.
