Governor, advisers miss the real issues - Connecticut Post: "Urban districts aren't like Wilton or New Canaan. Their whole school might have one or two "disruptive" students. Urban schools have one or two in each classroom. How many ankle bracelets are there in any of those suburban schools? I had four in one of my classes last year! How much time does one disruptive student take away from all the other students who want to learn? Then when there is no accountability for bad behavior, the students who are on the "tipping line," tend to go with, "nothing happened to Harold, so geez, I can get away with it too" attitude. That is a bigger problem than tenure."
