Bridgeport School System Compared to Achievement First – Bridgeport Academy - Wait, What?: "Achievement First has done slightly better on Connecticut’s Master Tests but that is because it has “creamed” off the best students and even then Achievement First’s – Bridgeport Academy CMT Math scores declined dramatically last year and both the Bridgeport schools and Achievement First Bridgeport Academy were put on the State Department of Education’s watch list.
Connecticut cannot have an honest debate about how to improve and handle our poorest school systems until the “education reforms” start telling the truth so that policymakers and the public actually knows what is happening in these schools.
